Breast Cancer Risk

There are a variety of risk factors for breast cancer, some of them are under your control and some of them are not. We will focus on your individual risk factors and discuss ways you can manage them to decrease your chance of developing breast cancer. We use standard breast cancer screening tools to help you identify your lifetime risk, and explain what additional imaging tests are advised for women who have a high lifetime risk for breast cancer.

Bone Health

Osteoporosis is a skeletal disorder characterized by impaired bone strength that puts a woman at risk for fractures. The bone loss that ultimately results in osteoporosis occurs at the highest rate during the menopause transition and in the first few years after menopause. On average, women lose about 10-12% of bone mass as they transition into menopause. For this reason, we will assess your bone health and give you recommendations for hormone therapy and lifestyle measures to prevent bone loss.
